2009年7月22日，在中国长江中下游地区，上海、重庆等许多大城市有一次日全食，由于该地区人口最为密集，而此次日全食又是本世纪最重要、持续时间最长的日全食，所以天文学家把此次日全食称为“长江大日食”。
本短片记录了一群生活在上海一个艺术家工作室的年轻人在长江大日食之前、之中和之后，与日食相关或不相关的生活片段。
